halooo.... how clock ticks so fast that now we are already in the second month of the year 2010 and reaching the end of the month... i think i need to buy a clock that run things a bit slower.*sigh*... or did i get amnesia or alzheimer already? enough faizul of my light years of imagination... actually i dont have any specific topics that i want to share today as my brain cells are in hibernation mode... with all this final semester's final project + dissertation, my brain is getting effing fatigue and my biological clock is in chaos... all my focus has been poured into these two thingy as i really really really want to finish my study so bad and im counting days to get out from my student days...
well, ive just arrived home from a study trip + vacation to perlis, penang and perak... it was kind of awesome where i have been longing for a holiday since last year... although it was caught in a mix up with educational purposes but i dont want to miss my chance to experience the rare opportunity of having fun while im on this trip... what can i say about my destinations? well.ive been to perlis before quite a long time ago and i guess there are not much of an improvement in this state (but i love the fact that the foods is still very very cheap... one glass of sirap is 60 cents... where can you get that kind of price elsewhere except for northern states?)... the environment of this state is still well-protected with 'greenery' catches your attention along the way and the people there lives in a modest and humble ways... there is no rush nor tension in this state like in the big metropolis...
my next stop was penang and this was my first time i stepped on the penang soil (and my first time crossing the penang bridge.hehehe... im so ketinggalan zaman)... my first impression of this state was the view at the island side is much much better than the main land side... what i like about penang is that they really have nice buildings there with modern buildings and high-class apartments/condos are built everywhere and the heritage buildings are also well-maintained and protected... and they mix these buildings very well... hell of a good city planning... although they dont have the best beaches but they know how to exploit their coastal lines with hotels, apartments and bungalows on the hills (looks like hong kong or a little bit like monaco.hahaha...) and the roadsides are full with restaurants from the expensive ones and also stalls together with pasar malam which is the main attraction during the night... i can say that penang is better than my hometown kuching... (im getting frustrated that kuching has so many potential places but didnt took advantage of it... the city planning in kuching needs a major overhaul... i will talk about kuching on the later post) well i guess the big difference in penang township with perlis township has got to do with the 'chinese factor' and we all know that the chinese are very good in making money...
my last destination was perak and i specifically mention that we only stayed in bukit merah and getting ourselves wet at the bukit merah laketown resort... hmm.i think i gave the resort 2.5 out of 5 for the fun that it offers... i think they need to provide more 'toys' to attract more people... i cant say too many about perak since i just stayed there for 1 night only... ive been to perak before but i kind of didnt remember how it used to look like... but what i can say is perak is rich with untouched forests and has a series of hills and mountains landscaping the state... well.my journey ends here and now ive entered the most crucial yet the busiest month of my semester... i hope all will go well and i will be happy when this is all over... to my classmates, it has been fun touring with you guys and thank you so much for all those memories for the past two years and i wish you guys good luck for the remainder of the semester....
